Set up for your organisation. Not the other way round.
When you create a workspace, Navalo asks one question: what does your organisation do? The answer decides which tabs a project opens with, which projects are waiting on day one and which tools come switched on. Nothing it decides is locked: every tab, tool and default can be added, removed or replaced afterwards.
9 answers to choose from at setup, 76 tools in the catalogue, and a Free plan you can stay on for as long as you like.
Say what you do. The workspace takes its shape.
Pick an industry. What you see is printed from the same functions the setup step runs: the tab strip a new project opens with, the projects waiting on day one, the tools that arrive switched on, and the one line that says why the strip is not the standard one.
IT & Managed Services
Tickets, alerts and SLAs that run themselves.
Tabs only this trade opens with: Tools, Backlog, Keys
For MSPs, IT service providers and internal IT teams. Requests and monitoring alerts become tickets with an SLA clock, the on-call person is paged, every device and licence is on the register, and hours logged against a client become the invoice line.
- Service Desk
- Client Projects
- Internal IT
Backlog replaces List and Timeline because a service desk plans in days, Keys holds each client's credentials, and Tools books shared consoles.
Startups & SaaS
Ship faster. Hear your customers louder.
Tabs only this trade opens with: Backlog, Deployments, Goals
For software and SaaS teams and technical founders. Commits and pull requests land on the tasks they close, releases become a changelog, customer requests are voted on in one place, and the CRM keeps the pipeline and account health next to the work.
- Product
- Growth
- Operations
Backlog and Deployments replace List, Calendar and Budget: product work is groomed from a backlog and shipped in releases.
Government & Public Sector
Audit-ready from day one.
Tabs only this trade opens with: RAID
For federal, defense and state contractors and subcontractors, and for public bodies. Every change is logged, records export in an agency-ready package, the schedule follows strict finish-to-start rules, deliverables and security controls have owners and dates, and the capture pipeline lives beside the delivery work.
- Programmes
- Contracts & Deliverables
- Capture
RAID replaces Capacity: a public programme is managed through its risks, assumptions, issues and decisions as much as its tasks.
Engineering & R&D
From requirement to test, every decision traceable.
Tabs only this trade opens with: RAID, Backlog
For hardware, robotics, aerospace and lab teams. Requirements link to the tasks and tests that cover them, the schedule holds finish-to-start dependencies, risks sit on every programme, and parts, equipment and suppliers are on one register.
- Product Development
- Test & Validation
- Lab & Supply
RAID and Backlog replace List and Calendar: a programme is steered through its risks and a queue of open design work.
Tinted tabs are the ones this trade opens with that the others do not. The active tab is drawn dark, as it is on the board.
Every default is a starting point.
The shape you get at setup is the shape most teams in that trade want. Yours may not be most teams. Here is what moves, and who can move it.
Filled chips stay on every project: Overview, Board, Members. Every other tab can be taken off a project, and put back from the same menu.
Take a tab off, put one on. This project only.
Tabs, per project
Open the strip's Add view menu and put on any tab in the catalogue; take off any tab you do not use. Each project decides for itself, and a tab you remove is one click from coming back.
22 in the catalogue. Overview, Board, Members stay on every project.

Yours overrides the industry's, which overrides the standard one. Every new project opens with the winner.
Default tabs, per workspace
An owner or admin sets the strip every new project starts with, in Org settings under Project tabs. Their set overrides the industry's, and the industry's overrides the standard one.
SLA Timers
Severity tiers, live countdowns on task cards, and escalation chains into chat and mail.
- a badge on task cards
- a panel in the task
- a settings section
- a background job
Switch it off and every one of these stops being served, for everyone, on the server.
Tools
Extensions are installed per workspace and switched off on the server, so a tool you remove stops contributing its tab, its task panel and its background job everywhere at once. Anything in the catalogue can be added later, whatever industry you picked.

A sandboxed frame; the page is never fetched through our servers. An admin can pin up to 10 into the launcher for everyone.
Custom tabs
Pin a secure page your team already uses as a tab on a project, in a sandboxed frame that never fetches through our servers. An org admin can pin one into the launcher for the whole workspace.
The built-in columns are what those roles hold today. The third is one you define, permission by permission.
Roles
Define roles of your own beside the built-in ones, with exactly the permissions a job needs and nothing it does not.

Each child is a full workspace with its own projects and members, grouped under yours.
Sub-organisations
A region, a brand or an acquired team as a full child workspace grouped under yours, with its own projects and its own members.
Nothing is locked in. Nothing is only hidden.
A template is a shape you are handed once. This is a shape the product keeps recomputing from what you have chosen, and every choice is reversible from inside the product.
Removal happens on the server
Switch a tool off and its surfaces stop rendering for everyone, because the server stops serving them, not because a button was hidden. Take a custom tab off a project and its row is deleted with it.
Your own order wins
The industry only decides what you see before you touch anything. Drag the tabs on a project into your own order and that order is kept for that project from then on.
Change your mind later
An owner or admin can switch the workspace to a different industry from inside the product, and the new bundle installs the same way the first one did. The catalogue stays open to every workspace whatever it picked.
Every industry, one page each
8 ways of working, each with its operator's day, its tools and the strip its projects open with.
The catalogue
76 extensions that add a project tab, a task panel, a board rule or a background job, installed and scoped on the server.
Every feature
Boards, timelines, Grids, Tables, charts, files, chat, calendar, CRM and mail, and how each one reaches the others.
Start with what you do.
Answer one question and open a workspace already shaped for it. Change anything afterwards, from inside the product.
