Client work, compliance and billing in one secure workspace.
For accounting and bookkeeping firms, financial advisers and legal practices. Each engagement runs its close on a checklist with a preparer and a reviewer, households and their holdings are reviewed for drift before the meeting, every hour is billable or not and becomes the invoice, access is set by role, and every change to a client's record is logged.

Timeline comes off and Calendar leads: a firm's work runs on filing and reporting dates, not a months-wide plan.

What changes, in the hours it actually changes.
Three moments from an ordinary week. Every one of them is a thing the product does, not a thing it could be configured to do one day.
07:30
the close knows who signs each line
This period's close rolled forward from the firm's own procedure without carrying last period's signatures. Each step is prepared by one named person and reviewed by another, each with a date, and a rejection clears the preparer's stamp. Reconciliation steps carry both balances and the difference.
11:20
the household review starts from the numbers
Households holds the people and entities in each household, what they hold, and the strategy it is measured against. Drift and concentration are flagged before the review rather than during it, and each refuses to give a number when it cannot measure one.
17:40
the hour is on the engagement, and the invoice is drafted
A timer runs from the task, or the entry is added afterwards, priced per person, per engagement or per firm. Invoicing drafts the month's invoice from the billable hours, and the engagement letter and its renewal date sit on the client's CRM account.
The three that do the heavy lifting.
Choose this industry during setup and its tools are queued for you. Review the list, drop anything you don't want, and the workspace initialises with the rest already working - or install any one of them on its own, later, from the marketplace.
Period Close
The close that runs every period, with a preparer and a reviewer signed and dated on each step, reconciliations carrying both balances, and the chase list for what the client still owes.
- Preparer and reviewer, each with a name and a date
- A rejection clears the preparer's stamp
- Reconciliations with both balances and the difference
- A filing calendar you fill in
Households
Households and the people and entities inside them, what each holds, the strategy it is measured against, and drift and concentration flags before a review.
- Portfolio import from CSV, TSV or JSON, columns confirmed by a person
- Drift against the household's own strategy
- Concentration summed across every account
- A strategy document Ava drafts and only a person approves
Compliance Audit Logger
An append-only record of decisions, approvals and access events, enforced by the database rather than by a policy someone has to remember.
- The database refuses updates and deletes on the log
- Decisions, approvals and access events captured
- Export as CSV or JSON on demand
- Readable by the people you allow
How Professional Services actually runs.
Each of these is a project in Navalo - its own board, tab strip, meetings, calendar and members. They are not pre-built modules and we will not pretend they are: what the industry gives you is the right defaults around them.
These sit on top of the whole product.
- Time Tracking & Billing and Invoicing turn each engagement's billable hours into a numbered invoice, with overdue reminders and payment status on the client's account
- Advanced RBAC sets what outside guests may see and edit, field by field, enforced on the server
- Client Voice keeps what the client said on a recorded call on their own project, with the sentence and the minute
- Records Export packages a client's records for an audit or a regulator, as a PDF and JSON with a checksum
- A client call is read with what the client instructed kept apart from what the firm advised, and a date is recorded only where a calendar day was said
- The CRM is the client and contact register, with engagement letters and renewals on each account
- Every workspace also gets the core: Announcements, Forms, Polls & Surveys, Kudos, Standups, Approvals, Checklists & SOPs, Recurring Tasks, the Decision Log, the Timeline, Hands-On Scheduling, Notes, the Corkboard, the Handbook, the Policy Library, Structures, Navalo Signatures, Conversation Stats and Budgets
The honest edges.
- Navalo is a workspace for advisers, accountants and lawyers. It is not a broker, a custodian or a book of record, and every figure in it is arithmetic over records your firm entered or imported.
- There is no live custodian connection: a portfolio arrives as the CSV, TSV or JSON your custodian exports.
- Navalo computes no filing or court deadline. A date is one a person entered.
- Navalo does not run conflict checks; the CRM is the register a conflict check is run against.
- Navalo holds no SOC 2, ISO 27001 or SOX attestation.
Built for the way your trade actually runs.
The ones buyers ask first.
Does the close really know who prepared and who reviewed?
Does it connect to our custodian?
Will it calculate a filing deadline?
Can an administrator edit the audit log?
