The job site in your pocket, even offline.
For construction, HVAC, electrical, landscaping and cleaning. Each job is a project with its own site page: today's work first, a photo-first diary, toolbox talks signed by each person, and sign-offs that work without signal and sync when it returns. Crews are scheduled and dispatched from Shifts, and the job's quote, hours, materials and invoice stay together.
30 tools switched on for this trade at setup. Untick any you don't need.Default project tabs
Capacity comes off because crews are scheduled in Shifts, and Calendar sits beside the board because jobs run on site dates.
Projects created on day one
- Active Jobs
- Quotes & Estimates
- Yard & Equipment
How Field & Trades actually runs.
Each of these is a project in Navalo - its own board, tab strip, meetings, calendar and members. They are not pre-built modules and we will not pretend they are: what the industry gives you is the right defaults around them.
The three that do the heavy lifting.
Choose this industry during setup and its tools are queued for you. Review the list, drop anything you don't want, and the workspace initialises with the rest already working - or install any one of them on its own, later, from the marketplace.
Jobsite
One tab for the site: today's work first, a photo-first diary, toolbox talks each attendee signs, safety items with an owner, and materials from stock, all usable without signal.
- A Today view with large tap targets
- A photo-first diary that works offline
- Toolbox talks signed by each person
- Certifications read from Training
Shifts
Shift schedules with requirements, drafts from availability, open shifts and swaps, and a Dispatch view that puts crews on jobs.
- Schedules with the people each shift needs
- A draft filled from availability, published by a manager
- Open shifts and swaps people accept
- Dispatch crews to jobs
RFI Workflows
A numbered register per project that leads with age and whose answer it waits on, with the drawing attached to the question and an ordered approval chain behind it.
- Numbered per project
- Days outstanding and who owes the answer
- Filter by status, age or owner
- Linked to the task it blocks
What changes, in the hours it actually changes.
Three moments from an ordinary week. Every one of them is a thing the product does, not a thing it could be configured to do one day.
06:40 - today's jobs, before the van leaves
Jobsite opens on today: who is on site, what needs signing and the open safety items. The daily log is photo first and takes a couple of minutes; with no signal it is kept on the device and syncs when the connection returns.
09:10 - the crew is dispatched, and the missing ticket is caught
The Dispatch view in Shifts puts people on jobs, and warns when someone lacks the certification a job needs, read from their Training record. Each person signs the toolbox talk under their own name.
16:30 - the RFI and the materials are on the job
The RFI register shows how many days each question has been outstanding and who owes the answer. Materials used are booked from stock to the job, and at the end Invoicing drafts the invoice from the job's hours and materials, against the quote the client signed.
These sit on top of the whole product.
- Quotes & Proposals prices the job in sections; the client signs it through Navalo Signatures and the signed quote becomes the job with its tasks and budget
- Inventory & Assets keeps materials and equipment by location, books what a job used to that job, and drafts reorders as purchase orders
- Time Tracking & Billing and Invoicing turn the job's hours and materials into the invoice
- Training holds each person's courses and certifications with warnings before they lapse; Expense Claims sit in Finances
- The Vendor Register holds every subcontractor and supplier with a contact and contract dates
- Every workspace also gets the core: Announcements, Forms, Polls & Surveys, Kudos, Standups, Approvals, Checklists & SOPs, Recurring Tasks, the Decision Log, the Timeline, Hands-On Scheduling, Notes, the Corkboard, the Handbook, the Policy Library, Structures, Navalo Signatures, Conversation Stats and Budgets
The honest edges.
- The weather on a diary entry is typed by whoever writes it. Navalo reads no forecast service.
- A toolbox talk is a dated record of who signed it in Navalo. Nothing is filed with a regulator for you.
- Certification warnings run on the dates somebody entered. Navalo does not check a card with the body that issued it.
- This is not a drawing-management or BIM system, and there is no Procore, Autodesk or Bluebeam integration.
- Shifts does not clock people in or out or feed payroll.

The ones buyers ask first.
Does it work with no signal?
How does dispatch know who is qualified?
We build hardware, not houses. What do we pick?
Can we quote and invoice from here?
