Dossiers as documents
Every dossier has a designed document you can download, print, issue and share, inside or outside the workspace.
Every dossier has a Document tab: a designed body drawn from its plan. A cover with the title, owner, scope, period, status and version; then the objective, scope and outcomes, the timeline, owners and teams, tasks, risks and assumptions, and sources. The budget appears only for people who can see Finances. The plan stays the source of truth, so Apply still works from it.
PDF and print
- Download PDF and Print give you the document as you are allowed to see it, with page numbers and a version line.
- PDF for outside readers leaves out people's names, tasks, risks, the budget and sources.
Issued versions
Issue this version makes the dossier a directive: who issued it and when are recorded, and the issued PDF never changes. Later edits become a new draft version.
Make it a page
Make the page creates an editable Pages copy in your own space, shared with the dossier's owner and reviewer. Its sections follow the plan and are rewritten with each new version (a named Pages version is kept first). Anything you write under the Notes heading is kept.
Sharing
- Share lets members you pick read it, never edit it. They still see only work in projects they can open.
- Share outside (Business) publishes the outside edition as a read-only public link. Turn it off any time. The link stops if the person who published it loses access.
- The outside edition is redrawn every time you press Share outside or Issue, so any hand edits to it are overwritten.
Where to find them
The Toolbox has a Dossiers band: recent ones, search, and New dossier with templates. On the phone, a dossier's Document section shows the body and Share PDF opens the share sheet.
Dossiers come with the Team plan.
This applies where your workspace has the latest organization tools switched on. Where they are off, everything works as it did before.
