New tools in Pages, Decks, Grids and Signatures

Pages

• Find and replace (Ctrl/Cmd+F, Ctrl/Cmd+H) with Match case and Whole words. Replace all is one undo.
• Format > Change case: Sentence, lower, UPPER, Capitalize Each Word, tOGGLE. Shift+F3 cycles.
• Format painter (the brush): copies bold, italic, underline, strike, sub, super, highlight, font, size and colour, never links or comments. Esc stops.
• Tools > AutoFormat as you type: smart quotes, -- to a dash, ... to an ellipsis, (c) (r) (tm), arrows. Backspace right after undoes one. Never inside code; remembered per browser.
• Insert > Special characters, searchable by name.
• Format > Sort paragraphs A to Z or Z to A, for paragraphs at one level or the items of one list, in natural order.
• Five more fonts: Inter, Source Sans 3, IBM Plex Sans, Merriweather and Roboto Slab. PDF downloads use a matching sans or serif face.

Decks

Sixteen more shapes in Insert > Shapes, kept exactly when you open or save a PowerPoint file. Theme fonts now show on screen exactly as in the PDF; that fix is for every workspace.

Grids

• Data > Flash Fill (Ctrl/Cmd+E): type one or two examples in a column and it fills the rest, only where the pattern explains every example. It never guesses.
• Data > What-if > Goal Seek: set a formula cell to a value by changing a number cell. Nothing is written until you press Keep.
• Paste > Paste transposed (values).

Signatures

While signing, Find in document (Ctrl/Cmd+F) lists the pages with your words and jumps to them. A scanned PDF has no searchable text, and the bar says so.
