Goal check-ins and goal health
Templates, cadence and who checks in; the five drivers behind a goal's health and what would move it.
Check-ins
- A check-in records progress (%), confidence, status, what changed, blockers, next steps and a link.
- Templates: Standard, OKR, Project delivery, KPI watch and Judged outcome.
- Cadence per goal: weekly, every two weeks or monthly.
- Who checks in: the owner, a named person, everyone with a role, or a unit head (the owning team's lead, the owning division's head, or the owner's manager by the chain of command).
- One reminder on the due day. If it is still not done two days later, the goal's owner is told once.
- The goal page shows the last 8 check-ins. Somebody checking in on the owner's behalf writes a check-in only and never changes the goal itself.
Goal health in detail
Health has five drivers, each with its score and one line: linked work, outcomes, goals under it, pace and freshness. What would move it lists the steps with the points each would add. Every percentage shows its % sign.
Note
This applies where your workspace has the latest organization tools switched on. Where they are off, everything works as it did before.
