Voice notes
Hold the microphone to record a voice message, with an optional written transcript.
- 1Hold the microphone in the composer to record (up to 5 minutes).
- 2Let go to send. Slide away or press Esc to cancel.
- 3On a keyboard, hold Space or Enter on the button.
A voice note plays with a waveform. On the phone, the microphone takes the place of Send while the composer is empty.
Transcripts are optional: Administration, Chat, Transcribe voice notes (off by default). Each transcript uses AI credits; the recording plays either way. A voice note sent from a voice channel's side chat follows that channel's call chat retention like any other line.

This appears where your workspace has the new organization tools switched on. Where they are off, everything works as it did before and these screens do not show.
