Finances > Overview > Forecast forecasts burn and runway, income, spend, net, won deals, or a CSV you upload. Navalo tries several methods on your own past, keeps the one that did best, and draws a shaded range.
| Plan | Methods |
|---|---|
| Team | Linear trend and moving average. |
| Business | Also exponential trend, seasonal naive and Holt-Winters (additive and multiplicative), forecasts from Ava, and financial models. |
Explain this forecast
Every forecast opens an explanation: the data it read, the method in plain words, the formula and its parameters, how far off it was when tested on your past, the assumptions, and what would change it.
Navalo holds no bank balance, so you type it. It is kept in your browser only.
Elsewhere
- Strategy: an outcome with values in two or more weeks and a target date is projected (On pace to hit 120 by ...).
- Home: an outcome projected to miss its target appears in Needs attention.
- Grids: select a column of numbers, then Insert > Forecast. It writes a Step / Actual / Forecast / Low / High block and a line chart. Linear and exponential forecasts are written as TREND and GROWTH formulas, so editing a number moves them. Holt-Winters is not Excel's FORECAST.ETS, which Grids does not have.
- Ava: ask it to forecast your burn or project paying customers.
Money forecasts need the finance permission, and a project you cannot see is left out of every series. The numbers are computed by code, never by AI.
