Editing a message's files

Choose Edit on your own message. Under the text you see its files: press x to remove one (press again to keep it), and Add a file to attach more. Save applies the words and the files together, and the message shows edited as before.

• The limits are the same as a new message: up to 6 files, and the same size per file and per message.
• A removed file leaves the message and is deleted, just as deleting the message deletes its files. Previews, search, Ava and notifications read the message as it is now.
• An admin who can delete other people's messages can remove a file from one, but can't change its words or add files.
• Voice notes and polls can't be edited. Delete a voice note and record a new one; close or delete a poll and post a new one.

On the phone, long-press your message and choose Edit: the files are under the text, with Photo and File to add more.
