Handbook blocks: video, link cards, steps and columns

Type / in a Handbook page to add pictures, videos, card grids, process flows, numbered boxes, callouts and columns.

The Handbook uses the same editor as Pages. Type / at the start of a line, or use the toolbar, to add a block.

  • Link cards: a grid of two or three cards, each with a title and a subtitle, that open handbook pages, policies or a link. A card shows the page's own title and summary, and a card to a page someone cannot open (a draft or a restricted policy) is simply left out for them.
  • Image: upload or paste a picture.
  • Video: paste a YouTube, Vimeo or Loom link. The page shows a preview, and nothing loads from the video site until a reader presses play. Other video sites are not supported.
  • Process flow: steps joined by arrows.
  • Numbered boxes and Band: flat boxes in plain, green or amber, and a full-width band.
  • Callout, Columns, tables, checklists and headings.

Pages with these blocks are edited on the web. The phone app reads them and keeps plain pages editable.
