Hiring: jobs, candidates and offers
A careers link per job, a pipeline private to the hiring team, interviews, scorecards and offers for signature.
Add Hiring from the marketplace; it is on the Team plan and above. This applies where it is switched on for your workspace. Where it is off, nothing here appears.
Jobs
- Create a job with its description, must-haves and location, choose its hiring team (leads and interviewers) and open it.
- An open job has a careers link anyone can use to apply with their details and a CV (required; PDF or Word, up to 5 MB).
- Applicants agree that the hiring team will see their application and that it is kept for the job's retention period.
Candidates are private to the hiring team
- Only the job's hiring team sees its candidates, CVs, interviews and scorecards.
- People who manage members see that a job exists and can choose its team, but not its candidates. They cannot add themselves: a lead on the job adds them, and from then on they see its candidates like anyone on the team.
- Interviews are private calendar events: only the people invited to the interview and the candidate see them.
- An interviewer sees colleagues' scorecards only after submitting their own. Leads see all of them.
Interviews, offers and hiring
- Book interview books an ordinary Navalo meeting and invites the candidate by email.
- Draft offer for signing prepares the offer letter in Signatures with the candidate as the signer. Send it from Signatures.
- Hire marks the candidate hired. If you can invite members, it first asks to send an invite, then emails the candidate a link to join this workspace. The link works once, only for their address, for 7 days. Resend invite sends the same link again.
Retention and deletion
A rejected candidate, and everyone not hired when a job closes, is deleted automatically after the job's retention period (180 days unless you change it). Someone holding an offer is kept until the offer is signed, declined or withdrawn; then the retention period starts. Deleting a candidate also takes their address off interview invitations and deletes their offer letter from Signatures. A lead can Delete now at any time, for example when a candidate asks. Hired candidates are kept until a lead deletes them.
