Mark a task as waiting on someone
Show that a task is held up by a client, a vendor, another team or a person, with your own label, a note and the date you expect it back.
Open a task and press Mark as waiting beside Blocked. Pick who it is waiting on: Outside party (a client, vendor or other company), Another team or A person.
- Type who or what in your own words, for example *Acme legal*. Navalo keeps exactly what you typed and never looks it up, so it never reveals a team or a person somebody else cannot see.
- Add a note (*sign-off on the contract*) and an expected by date if you have one.
- Press Clear when it arrives. One press, with Undo straight after.
Where it shows
- A Waiting on chip on the board card, in the list, in My work and on your to-do. It turns red once the expected date has passed.
- In Needs attention on Home, for work you are on or that you marked.
- In project health, and so in goal health and Strategy, as held-up work.
- When Ava lists or reads a task, she says what it is waiting on and since when.
Reminder
If the expected date passes and the task is still waiting, you get one reminder. Change the date and the reminder is set again.
Anyone who can see the task sees the label. Anyone who can edit the task can set or clear it.
